Personal Diary Privacy Policy

Personal Diary is engineered as an offline-first application. All diary entries, titles, mood tags, voice audio recordings, and attached photos are saved exclusively on your local device.

Saurabh Studio does not operate remote user databases or cloud synchronization servers for this app. We do not access, inspect, collect, or sell your personal journal records.

• Diary Content & Metadata: Your written thoughts, tags, dates, and mood indicators are stored in a private local SQLite/Drift database on your device. • Media Attachments: Photos and audio recordings you capture or attach are saved only in the application’s sandboxed private directory. • Encrypted Backups: When you generate a backup, it is saved locally as an encrypted file. You retain total ownership and custody of your backup files.

Personal Diary does not collect or transmit personal identifying information. To support ongoing maintenance, the free version integrates Google AdMob (Google Play Services).

Google AdMob may collect limited technical telemetry in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy), including mobile advertising identifiers (GAID), general coarse location (derived from IP address), and app performance diagnostic metrics for ad serving purposes.

The application requests only permissions necessary to deliver user-selected features:

• Biometrics (USE_BIOMETRIC): Enables fingerprint or face unlock to secure your diary on-device. • Camera (CAMERA): Allows you to take photos directly inside the app to attach to diary entries. • Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Allows recording voice memos to attach to entries. • Media & Storage (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Enables selecting pictures or audio from your device gallery and saving/restoring backup files. • Notifications & Alarms (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Delivers user-scheduled daily journaling reminders locally.

Personal Diary integrates the following third-party provider:

• Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK): Used to display advertisements. Learn more about how Google handles data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Because all journal content is stored on your device:

• You can edit or permanently delete any entry, photo, or audio recording at any time. • Clearing application storage or uninstalling Personal Diary permanently erases all journal records, preferences, and attachments from your hardware.

Personal Diary is a general utility application not directed toward children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children.

All private diary entries reside within Android’s protected application sandbox. Optional biometric/PIN authentication prevents physical access, and offline backups utilize cryptographic encryption.
